CollabLab

At Northwestern University's CollabLab, we study, design and develop systems capable of supporting group interactions and communication in a wide variety of contextual environments. Our research programs span areas from understanding how visual information influences our social interactions to developing computational models of interaction patterns in online environments to developing techniques to reveal biases in AI systems and models to building computational tools that account for real-time contextual information to better support equitable and inclusive interaction. Our work is funded by the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Google, Microsoft and Meta, among others.
